How is the view from the Mezzanine (very front row) at the Belasco theater for Hedwig and the Angry Inch? I'm planning to buy my tickets soon for a show in January, and so far, the Front Mezz. seems to be the most ideal location... But then again, I've never been to the Belasco and have never seen Hedwig in person.. so I need a second opinion.
Any suggestions?

Posted: 11/18/14 at 10:57pmIt will be great. I've sat in the back of the mezz twice there and it's perfectly fine. So, front row will be even better!

Posted: 11/18/14 at 11:02pmI sat third row mezz on the left side for NPH and it was fantastic view. You'll have a great view if you're front row. As a matter of fact... front row mezz is ideal for just about every theater.

Posted: 11/18/14 at 11:10pmI sat in the first row mezzanine for Hedwig, and it was great. I was a bit over to one side. I would avoid the far sides for this show.

Posted: 11/19/14 at 11:29amI agree with upthread comments. Most of the Mezzanine seats are great (even better than some Orchestra seats). I was in 3rd row Mezzanine (F,1) last Saturday and had an excellent view.

First time I saw the show with NPH I sat front row dead center mezz. Amazing view.
When I saw the show a few weeks ago with MCH I was center rear mezz and still a great view.

I think with this show it's important to avoid the far sides. The stage is really built up on the sides with climbing apparatus for Hedwig's gymnastics.
I sat in the orchestra on the far right side (for Rannells) and found the view to be very partial. I couldn't even see the door on stage that is opened to reveal the concert going on "next door." Plus I couldn't see any of the projections at the back of the stage. I was not happy because the ticket wasn't stamped partial view.
