Michael Ball
re: Michael Ball#25
Posted: 1/18/06 at 4:45pmI love Michael and I took a trip as sad as it is to New York just to see him. I have all of his cds and I was so excited to finally see him since the last time he came to Broadway was when I was five. So we bought the most expensive seats and we were up close and I was telling everybody before I left that I was going to see Michael Ball's pores even though you really couldn't in the fat suit and I walk in the theatre and found out he was sick. This was at the end of Dec. when his flu started and I haven't been the same since. It also sucked because I didn't get to see Maria either.

DirtyRottenGirl and little_fall_of_rain !!! That Bites!!! I do hope you both make it back!!! His performance is so good and the fact that he's in this country like "little" said is too much to miss!
Good luck to you both!!! I'm pulling for you!!!!!!!!!!

Posted: 1/19/06 at 10:36amI definetly won't be able to go back. I am a poor college student and I spent all my money on the first trip. Even if I did get enough money to go back I wouldn't be able to go back till spring break and ironically enough my spring break is the week after Michael leaves. Somebody asked where I was from and my college is in Indiana but on the border of Indiana and Illinois. It sucks because my school has a strict attendence policy so I can't miss any school to go on my road trip.

Count me in among those who want Michael to extend his contract
...I won't be back to see the show again until TONY time ( I have tickets for the first performance after the TONYs), so I am hoping I would be able to see him again as Fosco.

Saw Woman in White on Tuesday, 1/17.
Michael Ball is quite the showman. From the moment he pranced onstage, it was, who is THAT?
Those nice dance arches in his slim feet gave away the lithe self under the body suit, and he clearly knows how to enjoy himself onstage and give a great time to the audience.
I wish that both he and the evil Baron were introduced from the beginning of the show with a hint of mischief afoot coming from them earlier on, as the appearance of the woman in white with a secret alone doesn't set up the conflict to peak audience interest in the outcome right from the start, so the show takes a while to get going.
I did thoroughly enjoy the show and highly recommend it, and of course in any ALW show you know that every singer is going to be fantastic, and they are.
I hear that under his wig Michael Ball has curly hair...I am glad one of our Curly-Haired Broadway Men is back on the stage! And there is another that I am extremely fond of who I long to be able to see tread the boards again and sing, and especially to see him dance as I understand he is quite a dancer though I have yet to get to see him dance...

Funny interview, YayJudyYayJudy
I wish they would invite him in one of the talk shows - he is such an excellent interview subject. Great sense of humour and such a good story-teller. Lovely Brit accent, too

Posted: 1/23/06 at 10:44pmI went with Little_Fall_of_Rain. It was so upseting. I hope he gets better. I love him and he never comes to the US, and I don't think he has ever come to the west coast. So sad. I want to see him!

Michael was not in the show in the show yesterday either.
He was extremely tired friday night. Whatever bug he has it is really taken a toll on him..Let's all hope for the very best for him and that he is able to return asap.
