I can't actually remember any threads being started about this specifically...

What do you people think about this?

A more of a poppy voice playing Todd?

A Mrs. Lovett pushing 60?

So many different angles and options?

How do you think it will pan out?

Ball is a charismatic performer and I think he has every chance of pulling it off. He can adapt his voice - he did Passion in The West End.
Age of Mrs Lovett - Saunton is 54,(not exctly pushing 60!) same age as Lansbury was, when se played it. If you mean age difference, Ball is 47 so not much of an age difference.
How will it pan out - I think the casting is very good and I would say the signs bode well but who really knows until it is up there on stage.

I agree...

I personally can't wait, just wanted to see what people think.

Of course, can't wait to see it up there!

I am glad people are excited about the idea of Staunton. I think it's brilliant casting.

I can't wait to hear more, though I presume they'll go with smaller names for the rest of the cast...

Maybe not, Chichester are pretty good with casting and they could very well bring in a few nice (tasty!) names for those other parts.

I'm even more excited!

Here's hoping it lasts longer than some of the other revivals around...

"I think the casting is very good and I would say the signs bode well"

Since keithp always likes to take issue with my posts I'm going to piss him off by saying...

I agree.

I really CAN NOT wait for this! Imelda Stauntan = Genius casting!

Although it's early days, any rumor on a theatre for London?

I just hope it transfers to Broadway with Bernadette Peters.

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.
