I think she'd be great as Kristine in the upcoming A Chorus Line revival!!! (the "I really couldn't Sing" girl) Unfortunately, we wouldn't get to hear her beautiful voice... but it'd be a fitting role and also give her a chance to do comedy and dance! (two things she definitely didn't get to do in Wicked)
Or she could be Wendy in Peter Pan!

I would like to see her in a drama/comedy.
I, too, was not a very big fan of Michelle in Wicked. As some people have already said, I have to agree that the way her character was written, she didn't have very much to work with. I mean, com'mon...she was in only five scenes that took up about 15 minutes! Her voice is a little iffy with me too; she does gasp a lot and it's not very full-sounding, in my opinion. Which is why I think she could never pull off Elphaba. Oh geez! (And Stephen Schwartz was not a huge fan of her, either.) But all of my dislikes about her were due to the so-so writing of her character. I COULD picture her as Belle, but I would like to see her in a drama instead of a musical next time.

Posted: 1/23/05 at 10:59amDid anybody see Michelle when she understudied Sally Murphy in "A Man of No Importance"? I think she would have been great. Sally was there the two times that I went.

Posted: 1/23/05 at 11:00amfrom what I have seen of her, she is a very good actress but, her voice has a twang in it that sort of grates the ear. It's an average voice thats what it comes down to. I don't think she stinks though..that is a little strong to grade her on acting from "Wicked". She does a nice job with what she has to work with.

Posted: 1/23/05 at 10:33pmShe doesn't exactly impress me either, but it's not fair for me to pass judgment on her considering I've only heard her sing that little bit in "Dancing Through Life".

possible spoiler, but at this point, it's doubtful...
Going into Wicked for the first time she didn't really impress me (based only on what I had heard on the cast recording.) However, after she sang Wicked Witch of the East I was sold on her. I love her voice. That's just me though.
And as far as what she'd be good at in the future...I think she'd do well in Little Women...I don't know if I'd picture her as Jo or Beth. I think she'd be a very good Beth. I also think she could play one of the daughters in fiddler. Perhaps Hodel, I think she'd do well with Far From the Home I Love.
who knows...
Some guy: You looked great!
