Got some news for you, a couple days ago Micky Dolenz Guest Djed on New Yorks oldies station WCBS.FM. He stated that he will attend the Broadway cares benefit on March 2 at the Cuting room there in New York. Not much information is out there on the event yet. Maybe he will Eaz on down the road for us again. He also mentioned his stent in Aida on air. What no King Charlemaign? Course that was off broadway. I do remember now that in an interview last year Micky mentioned he would be intrested in a role in the musical 1776. I have no idea if that was the one he was up for last or if its even being casted. I know he didnt want to anounce the musical ,cause it might curse his chances of landing a role. 1776 is probably just wistfull thought on Micky's part. Still you never know. Can't we just see Micky as Benjamin Franklin ? Come on Mr. Dolenz invent some lightning for us. Might be intresting to see him in that musical yet.
Just bump one of the old threads instead of starting a new one over and over.
It's not like you even got that many responses on the threads you already started, anyway.
And you essentially say the same things about Mickey in each and every thread you start.
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Micky without the E. If your not interested in Micky than why do you read the threads than? I havent been on here sence last year and I just thought I would give new info.

Sence I havent posted news about Mr. Dolenz sence 2007. I thought I would come on in this brand new year of 2008 and tell everyone the new Micky news. Becasue it makes us Micky fans so happy we could cry or laugh. Take your pick!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

i never did get to see him in aida. I know alot of people like the other actors who proceded him in the role better. Micky seems to really want to work in muscial theatre and be on broadway again and I hope gets too. Mickys is a bundle full of talent.
Actually it is not was, its an is. I admire Micky very much for being able to perform in front all those people the way he does. Micky sertainly has alot of guts. I think a lot of people walked into Aida exspecting him to play the role as the previous actors who portray Zoser did. Which is an ilogical assumption. Acting is an art form like paint, drawing or singing. Everyone who takes on a project likes to put their own touch to it so they can say it is their own. Also because of their indiviuality none of the Zoser's would be the same performance by any of those actors. Similar aspect happened with Pippin. People walked into this show expecting it to exsactly like a previous production they had scene. In fact it was revised production of Pippin and said so m any times in the press. After all the hard work I read about what was put in to both productions. Not to mention the exstensive vocal training Micky goes through in taking care of his voice. It would be rather hard for me at least to be critical of him or the plays.
So anyway how many people played Zoser besides Micky?
Micky is still talking of doing broadway. Still has his sights set on musical theatre. I think if they did a musical production of petes dragon , micky would make an excellent lampy. hell i can also see him as the mad hatter in alice in wonderland. he is very animated ,and has a great singing voice and brings a hell of a lot of eneregey to the stage. micky kows how to gran an audience. i really think he could bring lampy to life on stage. if the production was ever casting. i can just see micky running all bugged eyed into the pub singing a dragon a dragon i swear i saw a dragon lol lol. micky could give a whole new life to that character. so some one cast him in a production already. lol
micky currently is recoding a new album king for a day with carole king and touring his but off. i just saw him live not to long ago in one of his teen idol tours and he was an excellent show men. i take it he didnt get the roles he was up for last year. hopefully new ones will come his way. micky wouild make a wonderfull lampy.
davy on broadway in oliver was way back in the early 60s. some ones lucky too see that.
