I have read the rumours on here about 'Million Dollar Quartet' being West End bound and I have been yeah whatever, especially when it only plays 58% audience on Broadway.
However I have now been converted, whilst perusing 'In The Woods' programme, I noticed that Pippa Ailion who done the casting for the said show, has also been contracted to do the auditions for MDQ.
Im so puzzled why Mcabes are risking bringing this show over...
Its half empty on Broadway and these shows are just tricky in the UK. Tribute acts/small scall tours of That'll be the day, great balls of fire/Elvis shows/Buddy forever tour the UK.
Jailhouse Rock never took off in the west end.
Jersey Boys has done well, but it took a while, and it could only continue because of the huge money behind it to ground the show.
