Even though Lincoln Center does some of the best stuff around, there's something about their overly-muted logos that make me want to not see them, regardless of what they are.

The light, airy drawings made sense for Light in the Piazza, perhaps. But some of the other stuff...

Les Mis for me. Like Schmerg, I thought it wasn't going to be in English. "But muuuuuum, I don't want to go see some stoopid French opera!!!" Oh how I've eaten my words.

Kiss of the Spiderwoman: I thought it was the life of some Spider women, like Spiderman

Pajama Game: I thought it was about a bunch of girls having a sleepover

Forever Plaid

Fiddler On the Roof: When I first saw it I was wondering why they was nothing to do with the fiddler on a roof

I want to add a few more:
RHPS - I thought it was going to focus on Rocky and be a horror film.

Norman Conquests - I thought it was going to be in the 1300s and someone traveling and conquering and earning land, becoming king or something!

I once heard someone describe her (Ruthie Henshall) singing as sounding as though she's trying to swallow a whole meatball slightly larger than her windpipe. (The same person compared Michael Ball's singing to sounding as though he's sitting on a washing machine on spin cycle and Colm Wilkinson's to a man with a paralyzed lip trying to eat cottage cheese.) --- Schmerg_The_Impaler

I thought that Les Miserables was a gothic tim-burton style musical about a bunch of people miserable with their lives.

"There's nothing good on. The media hates Christmas. The media loves vampires, though. Maybe they will show a Twilight Christmas."

Billy Elliot.

heh, kidding.

Urinetown immediately comes to mind. When I told my friends I was going to see Urinetown, they were like "..what? Your in town?" and I was like oh nooooo. haha.

"I'm afraid this offer comes off the table... at midnight tonight." "...maybe the worst bluff I've ever seen." "Even the members of GOBIAS could agree on that one."

I thought the same thing as Lotte about Norman Conquests. For some reason my stepmom thought that Irena's Vow was about a woman's vow of chastity.

Fiddler on the Roof

I thought it was about a Fiddler on a roof.

I definitely though Merilly we Roll Along was going to be about a boat.

And I'm pretty sure my exact comment (before seeing it) was "Bye, Bye Birdie, why do I wanna see a show about birds going away?"

I also kinda expected Grease to be about something greasy.

And I also thought that "My Fair Lady" was about the lady who was being told that London Bridge was falling down.
