Miss Saigon

Since people here seem to know what they're talking about:
Are there any plans to revive Miss Saigon in the UK soon?

I'd heard it was going on tour simultaneously to a Les Miserable tour (also a rumour, which was confirmed by a current cast member - which makes me believe it slightly).

I adored the show when I saw it, any kind of revival would make my heart melt.

The Oz tour finished mid-2008, so they could be bringing it back??

re: Miss Saigon

Probably due to come back, even ripe for a West End revival.

re: Miss Saigon

i seriously dont want a west end revival with the tour set because i dont like the new video idea for american dream and i prefered the acutal helicoptor !

re: Miss Saigon

I love this show, i liked the touring set far better than the big clunky West End set, it flowed far better.

But i have to agree the video screen helicopter was not great at all.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

I'm in agreement with Musical Matt about the sets for the tour of Miss Saigon. The projections during The American Dream were distracting and the chopper wasn't as effective.

re: Miss Saigon

Amazing what effect you can get with a few bits of string a some ping pong balls!
I will never forget the reaction from the audience at that first Drury Lane preview.
I must have seen it about 20 times in its London run and i must say that in its final years it really started to look tired and just got worse until they decided it had had its day.

re: Miss Saigon

FYI, the car was bought back and put into the Australian production during the Sydney season. They used it as well as the projection. Worked very well.
