Mom is coming to town next month... what Broadway show should I take her too. She's seen Wicked, Lion King, Chicago, and Ave Q.... any thoughts?

GREY GARDENS....oh, wait...

Only you know your mom. What would she like?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I don't know about the relationship that you and your mom have, but the thought of going to see Spring Awakening with my mom makes me ill. All of myManCape's suggestions are good.

Drowsy Chaperone is a safe bet. The show’s hilarious and frequently on TDF/TKTS. I went with my parents the last time there were here and they loved it.

Drowsy was my first thought. My mommy thought it was swell.

I would also agree with Jersey Boys! Have a wonderful time together!

Not sure if she'd like LEGALLY BLONDE, but my mom did.
HAIRSPRAY is also a good one to see with your parents.
MARY POPPINS, too, though I didn't like it, but my parents did.

I took my 52 year old mom and her 65 year old cousin to see Spring Awakening and they both loved it.
But really, only you know your Mom.

You must think I'm still sixteen. I dropped out of high school for a reason. And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right. My soul is not a stage. I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not

Honestly, if she's never seen it you should see Phantom of the Opera...a classic, one of the greatest shows, excellent, and who knows how much longer it will last.

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien
