is it wrong that i can't stop laughing at that fairy?
I suspects it's fake though, it happens too perfectly, and no one on stage or in the house freaks out, the kids just watch and the audience laughs.

Oh wait, that WAS me pushing the iron lung off/ screwing with the scrim
Twice comes to mind. Seeing a dancer seriously injured in a scenery mishap. It was a production of "Chaplin" with Anthony Newley that never made it to Broadway. The dancer had to be lifted off the stage by two other dancers and appeared to be in extreme pain. The thought of his dancing career possibly coming to an end at that very moment was most disturbing.
The other time I was glad I wasn't the person I was seeing on stage was watching Patti Lupone lose her voice in "Evita". It was the summer long L.A. pre-Broadway runs very last performance. I had a friend who worked at the theatre who told me before the show that Patti had exhausted her voice by recording the 2 LP cast album by day and performing the show at night that week. Not wanting to disappoint her fans and friends who had come to see her last performance, she insisted on going on against doctor's orders (gotta bless her for that). Well, she sounded fine throughout "What's New, Buenos Aeres" but then a raspiness was apparent in her voice. Shortly after her voice was cracking big time. You could her a buzz going through the audience. It was terrible to watch. By "A New Argentina" she couldn't even yell out the words much less sing a note. Needless to say she was replaced for act two. The only other time I felt that uncomfortable for a performer was seeing Julie Andrews trying to sing towards the end of "Victor/Victoria"'s run. As the show progressed her voice kept getting worse until you no longer wanted to watch her. She had no control over it breaking and seemed as surprised as the audience as these bleating sounds came out of her throat. Remembering what a gifted singer she once was, was both sad and heartbreaking to watch.
Meet some interesting Les Miserables screw-ups... My favourites are the Enjolrati who seem to be experiencing puberty onstage.

Schmerg...you just used the word Enjolrati...
You have no idea how happy that makes me
Thos Les Mis bloopers are HYSTERICAL! My favorite is the Hungarian Valjean. I only wish there was a visual.
One of my personal favorites:

Hungarian Valjean:
Awww I just saw myself at 18 years old in the audience at that "Putting It Together" performance. Front row, stage left. Man, that will forever remain hilarious. The funniest thing was that throughout the entire first act of that performance, John Barrowman had a rip in his black pants and you could see the white underneath.
I thought it was brilliant that they captured that on film.

I loved those Les Mis bloopers! I think I may need to show that to the guy who played Enjolras in my production...he always had trouble with those high parts, but he never cracked like those guys!

When I did Seussical the stage is completely dark and I stomp on the line "If I stand on my own so be it" from Alone and the Universe and fell into the orchestra pit then the director wanted to put a stunt in and had me flying it was on all the publicity photos so they had to get me out of the pit and then I had to fly. My parents felt glad they were not me. I will never step off stage again
