Hi, I desperately need a comedic female monologue for once upon a mattress, and it’s needs to be from a play or musical written in the mid 1900s, or if you don’t know of any monologues but do know of a good resource for monologues please let me know! Thanks for your help!

How's about doing a wordy, funny, specific lyric as a monologue? Like, I don't know - Getting Married Today? Or whatever you connect with. I mean, it's just a thought. Good luck:)

I would say Song lyrics are not necessarily the best way to go. There are dozens of sites with monologue compilations out there. Remember that you are showing mainly that you are capable of making strong character choices or land a joke, not that you want specifically to match the character you're trying out for.
