Feel like this may have been done before, but whatever. What are shoes that have great, heartwarming energy that makes them extremely likable?
Of the ones I know, the best example I can think of for plays is You Cant Take it With You while the best example for musicals would be She Loves Me.
Hairspray immediately comes to mind.
My immediate thought was Come From Away, although I know it hasn't had that same effect on some people.
My first thought was also "Hairspray" but since that was already mentioned, I would pick "School Of Rock".

I would second You Can't Take It With You for most likable play, though I think it ties with Harvey. I saw that play for the first time last year and it made me put a little more faith in the world.

Agreed on Harvey. I’m actually surprised nobody’s mentioned Hello Dolly yet.

IMO: Hairspray, Six (some people may disagree, but to me, it’s just so empowering!), Come From Away, and The Prom!
Phantom of the Opera is the most obvious one here.
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is one of the most big-hearted shows I can think of. It’s kind of amazing because it leans so much on cartoony satire and caricature that it could have easily become grating and flat, but instead you really do love these kids (being played by adults, no less). The I Love You Song is just incredible and it completely earns its emotional impact.
