I think the CHARITY revival has a whole is underrated. But CHARITY has one of the best known scores ever. Some very very famous songs from CHARITY.

The More We Dance! From Dirty Rotten Scoundrels! That was the first song I just fell in LOVE with from the recording. The Overture itself is quite underrated, as well. And I do agree with The Joy You Feel. I think from Little Women, the Weekly Volcano Press is sort of underrated too...I mean, yes, it's long, but it's an excellent showcase of everyone from the cast.

Rather than "Astonishing" (though it has been my favorite since the start!) "The Fire Within Me" , her little speach in the middle makes me cry every time "..with a voice so sweet, even angels would have listened"....**OMG, crying!** aah...it's such a great ending...
and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...

I think that most of Little Women was underrated. The score is amazing and I just don't understand how they screwed up that show. It had everything. My favorites that I think are underrated on there are Some Things are Meant To Be and The Fire Within Me. I never even knew TFWIM existed until I bought the OBCR.

Little Women was a flop because the show itself was just BORING. I found the recording addicting at once, but I imagined myself watching this show and almost fell asleep.

I agree with "The More We Dance". I also think "Woe is Me" from Spelling Bee is a great song, but hasn't gotten much mention.

i think little women has an incredibly underrated score. the ones that especially come to mind are fire within me, some things are meant to be (even if i'm not the biggest fan of mcginnis' beth), and small umbrella in the rian.
sigh... im gonna go listen to it now.
i also think love to me, and the beauty is are underated from piazza.
if this thread were about last season i'd have to say that the little ditty in act one of wicked, i think its called defying gravity is VASTLY underatted..... no one EVER talks about it. hahaha just kidding...

From Little Women- "Some Things Are Meant To Be" (from Beth to her Jo)
From DRS- "Love Sneaks In" and the Finale, I love the "And though 2 aces beat you blind, they'll never beat 3 of a kind." line.

Octet from LITP - it just soars and yet no one talks about it that much.
Dessa Rose itself was underrated by almost all the critics, and its songs are gorgeous, ie White Milk, Red Blood, In the Bend of Your Arm, and the aforementioned At the Glen.

I have to join the group who thinks Little Women's score was underrated. I perticurally (sp?) Love "Some Things Are Meant To Be," and "Days of Plenty." Besides that, I Love "I Speak Six Languages" from Bee, and " Oklahoma?" from DRS.

"The Joy You Feel" is a great example! Sarah really does sound like an Italian Woman!
In fact, when I think of Piazza I don't think of any of the Morrison/O'hara duets or solos, which get a lot of talk.
I like Fable, which is by no means underrated. "Statues and Stories" and "Dividing Day" those two may be a underrated......

He does this little hummy thing. It's the melody without lyrics and absolutely positively glorious. I've gotta get on recording that...::giggles like a schoolgirl::

Sounds wonderful. Oh, thought of another LITP underrated - Love to Me, if it can be considered underrated.
