CATSNYRevival- The Lunt-Fontanne is also where a group sales presentation is being held for the show Thursday night. I'm guessing that if it was being used for a commercial, it is also being left up for that.

Wishing - That is a great catch! I've been doing some research on google images, and apparently that MERMAID billboard has indeed remained there throughout the tenures of both THE ADDAMS FAMILY and GHOST. That's crazy that they left it (even though I loved that show - despite it's problems - and am fine with it staying there).

It is indeed the Motown logo but the use of the Gold Record is disingenuous as Motown performers did not receive Gold Records because the sales had to be verified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Berry Gordon opened his books to no one. It wasn't until the late 70's that Gold Records were finally awarded.

Its DREAMGIRLS meets MEMPHIS meets HIGH FIDELITY.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
