Oh let it come out! As far as who killed Phillip, at the point I have no idea. I have loved this story from the get-go and six months later I still have no idea. Lillian & Mel were my original 2 suspects, and its still possible either one could have done it...I do think it was a lady.

La Cage: I didn't mean "shut the f*ck up" in a nasty way, I just meant to stop blabbering about how mis-directed the production is and how Christina hurt herself. We get it, enough. That's all I meant. And you claim that CHARITY is misdirected? I'm sorry, but I think CHARITY is 100xbetter direction than the slush going on right now at the Marquis. Jerry Zaks could not direct a show if his life depended on it - CHARITY gleams in comparison.

Hey; the two of you. Knock it off. The two of you are wonderful inteligent posters . You just have different opinions. Different strokes for different folks. If you want to get nasty do it with posters who revieww shows or give mean spirited opinions without seeing the shows ( like WishIhadaatony). You are both too smart for this nonsense.

Yes, you're right. I never meant anything I said to be mean spirited towards La Cage (the poster not the show.) I just find it very hard to believe that anyone can like this production of it, and everyone I see him/her posting, the damn logo is gleaming at me! My blood pressure gets a little high.

Hmmmm...I can't do that Munk (that would require every La Cage, Gary Beach, Daniel Davis, or Robert Goulet post to not be talked about by you). We can just agree to disagree and have fun and not mean spirited to each other. I do respect a theatregoer and well versed as you any day of the week.

Thanks for the insightful and thorough review of the show. Glad you enjoyed it. I am truly hoping that Christina is just sitting out dance numbers during the previews so she can knock our socks off on May 4th!

Also, thanks for your comments (that echo mine) to the annoying posters who continually claim that this production sucks because Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon aren't in it!

It's getting old. Unlike the show, which happens to be a NEW production of the Sweet Charity STORY. It is not a copy of the original and never said it would be.

And it never should be. People dismissed the Gypsy revival for being "too dark." People dismiss everything for some reason or another if it differs from the original.

I myself am guilty of this for Into the Woods , but the revival was truly terrible.

I think this is a fun, exciting, great new production and I am honored to have been able to see it. Christina Applegate is refreshing and outstanding and I have a new-found respect for stage and screen actresses that try their luck in New York. She is one of the few that actually has her existance justified, and if I could afford it, I would see her again and again.
