Coffee Break! from HOW TO SUCCEED...
Coffee, Black from BIG
Taylor the Latte Boy Music by Zina Goldrich, Lyrics by Marcy Heisler
And didn't Bach write an Opera about a coffee brewing controversy? Anyone remember the title?
Also, any others?
Let's celebrate Musical Theater & Coffee!
I don't remember the title, but there is one in I Love You Because.
COFFEE IN A CARBOARD CUP from 70, GIRLS, 70 - Kander & Ebb 1971
"They've Got An Awful Lot Of Coffee in Brazil".
Not from a show, but a hit for the Andrews Sisters in the 1940s. It was also recorded by Frank Sinatra.
"The Coffee Song" - lyrics
"Taylor the Latte Boy" is kind of about coffee... kind of... and it might not even be from a show... but I think it is...
TAYLOR THE LATTE BOY is on Kristin Chenoweth's CD AS I AM.
I *THINK* it was written just for her, not for a show at all. She did many interviews when it came out and during her WEST WING days, and I seem to recall her talking about that song as a "gift to her musical theatre fans" as the rest of the album (besides IT WILL BE ME and THE SONG REMEMEBRS WHEN) are Christian songs.
Still counts IMO

Not completely about coffee, but...
Coffee from See What I Wanna See
If I remember correctly, I think one of the bonus tracks on the Subways are for Sleeping recording is about a man who delivers coffee to business people for a living. It was a song that was not used in the actual production. I am at work and away from my CD collection so if someone knows please verify. I think it is called "A Man with a Plan".

Tom - what a great resourse - though doesn't it take some of the fun out of these threads?

Anything that teaches people to do research on their own works for me.
was taylor written for Kristen?
I have Christine Noll singing it too.
I have Susan Egan singing it as well. Also, I remember Kristin singing it on rosie a LONG time ago. So maybe it was written for her, but she didnt record it until more recently. But i dont think it was.
What's that tongue-twisting song about the copper coffee pot?

"Sunday" from Tick,Tick...Boom has some coffee references.
I think Taylor is just a song writting that a lot of broadway stars sing because I have like 4 different people singing it.

Kristin Chenoweth *I believe* was the first to sing this song.
Then others came along like John Tartaglia.
I do not think it was meant to be in a musical and I don't think it has been.
And, of course, there's Losing My Mind.
