I have 15,563 songs on my itunes. 5,045 of those songs come from original broadway cast recordings and original motion picture soundtracks of musicals.

I can't list them all it's way too time consuming.

I'm with you iluvtheater!

I have all my CRs typed up, but that's cause all my friends come to me and borrow them and sometimes I never get them back so it's how I keep tabs on'em! I love my CRs! re: Musicals/Cast Albums in Your iTunes Library

Thanks, love. Wish I had kids as an excuse. Or just... an excuse.

Robos, this isn't even half of it. I don't have my list near me right now, but I believe I was somewhere around 575. It might be 600. I haven't updated it in a few weeks, so I really must do that. I only started typing it up after things started disappearing when friends borrowed things. I've tried to sit down and alphabetize the actual collection in addition to the list. It just got so tedious and there were CD's everywhere that I gave up.

EDIT: The list is at 578. When I sit down to add recent additions, it will probably reach close to 600.

Now, not of these are all actual albums. Some of them are just burns to hold off until I can find the real thing - if that ever happens. But I like to keep everything on disc instead of just digital.

Haha, yeah! Well, I wasn't really into collecting CRs until I went away to college. I started using my weekly money for food and things I needed to order from amazon. So when I got home I arranged all of them in alphabetical order and my bought new CD racks from IKEA and now they're nicely displayed. I'm a creep, I know. But it's a passion, hahaha. Whenever I get a new one, I automatically update my list.

I actually need to buy a new iPod with more memory. Plus my iPod is a bit old.

Thank God for doing a show and making money this summer...God knows I've been having withdrawals. I haven't ordered CDs in about a month. I did get some for my birthday, though.

Tonight I'm ordering:
City of Angels
Loving Repeating
The Life
Lucky Stiff
Roberta
The Rothschilds

Loving the birthday money.

I really like LOVING REPEATING. Granted, I skip over a great deal of it - but there are certain numbers that I like a lot. I wouldn't put it at the top of your list or rush to get it, though.

Everything in my iTunes is show albums with the exception of three Nellie McKay albums, one Dresden Dolls album, Cyndi Lauper album, and Regina Spektor album.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

theatretrash - I'm only a fan of two songs. It's a cast recording that you could go through, on the iTunes store, and pick which ones you'd like to download.

I just can't stand Christine Mild. One of the most obnoxious voices I've heard!

I really, really love ALLEGRO. Surprised it's not on my iTunes library. But not many people like it.

I also am a huge fan of any MJLAC.

Robos - are you into the more contemporary theatre music?

as a fan of everything, I must recommend the concept album "Beautiful" . It's on the iTunes store.

very fresh, contemporary, and alternative. it's like the off-bway show that the band Groove Lilly recently premiered in New York.

Check it out. I've become a fan of the album. re: Musicals/Cast Albums in Your iTunes Library

Adrift in Macao is AWFUL. Avoid it like the plague.

I walked out of a production of Beautiful. Hate hate hate that show. But I usually like TDH's opinions, so go for it.

Also, if you can find it, "Where's Charley?" is a DELIGHTFUL score. I lost my copy, sadly, and can't find another. I love this score very, very much.

I have around 350 different cast recordings, plus some solo CDs like Audra McDonald's 4 recordings, which I adore. re: Musicals/Cast Albums in Your iTunes Library

Of course, I don't listen to every single one of them everyday.
