check out the show albums: "Songs From An Unmade Bed", "I Love You Because", "The Spitfire Grill", "Only Heaven", "It's Only Life", and "The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chamelion Skin"
I'm wary of those. Got a used EDWIN DROOD once - turned out to be a burned CD I payed 25$ for. Turned into a long battle, but got my money back. Ridiculous...
I love obscure stuff, haha...

Someone on here...he's probably watching...sent me a copy of DROOD. I was so upset I couldn't find a cheap copy and he sent it to me for free and in great condition. If you're reading this, thanks so much...again! haha
It would take forever to list them but I have 943 cast recordings (Original Broadway Casts, Broadway Revivals, Original London Casts, London Revivals, Original Off-Broadway Casts, Off-Broadway Revivals, Studio Casts, Encores Cast...)
I have all 67 Tony Winning Best Musical cast recordings. (there's only been 66 Tony awards so far but there was a tie once) I put them in a playlist. If they didn't make an OBC Recording.. then I put the closest recording to it [Billy Elliot OLC, Kiss of the Spider Woman OLC, The Phantom of the Opera OLC, Sunset Boulevard OL.A.C (it's basically the original broadway cast except for Judy Kuhn)]
I have 54 Tony Best Score cast recordings... I only need the OBC of Call Me Madam.
I have 55 Grammy Best Musical Theatre Albums.. I only need 3 more.
Also, this topic has reminded me: what genre do you guys list your musical theater albums as? For a while I used "Musical Theater" but I didn't love that, and so I've used "Broadway" for the last several years (although this is obviously a misnomer as not every recording listed under the genre is one that was a recording of a Broadway production).

@gypsy101 I have all my collection in only 3 genres. 'Musical': original broadway cast, Broadway revival, original London cast, London revival, studio cast, encores cast, anything that has a real cast. 'Soundtrack': movie soundtrack and tv soundtrack. 'Vocal': anything that doesn't fit the other two genres.. Like albums of Broadway singers, or any solo album in general.
I also have playlist I made: 'Tony: Best Musical', 'Tony: Best Revival', 'Tony: Best Score', 'Grammy: Best Musical Theatre Album', 'Shows Seen', 'Shows Going to See'
I also notice that some people just put there music on their iTunes and that's it. I literally have it SO organized that ever song has the right composer(s) and every song has the right singer(s). For example: if the song says Glinda, Elphaba, & Company, than I would put Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, & Company. It literally takes me forever to organize ONE album. I still have like 80 albums on my download section on my computer, that I haven't even put on my actual iTunes. I'm very proud of my collection. I started in 2013.
I did the whole listing-every-artist thing for a while, but my artists section got to be a hot damn mess and I didn't like that, so I now use the composer for the show as the artist for each album. Which of course means that jukebox musicals get confused; if there's one artist the show is using its source, like All Shook Up or Jersey Boys, since the songs are composed by a large number of people, I use the artist in question: Elvis Presley and The Four Seasons. For Mamma Mia! I use Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus, and the stage version of Once I actually use The Swell Season (as I have other albums by Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansard under that duo name). For non-artist specific jukebox musicals (like Baby, It's You, Rock of Ages and Priscilla Queen of the Desert) I have taken to listing the album's producer as the artist.
JoseLee, I may use that Vocal genre you talked about. Most of my albums by Broadway singers I have listed under "Broadway" if the album includes songs from musicals.
I also have some Tony-related playlists, including 4 that are Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Featured Actress and Best Featured Actor in a musical. For these I use my favorite track the Tony winner is featured on the recording of their winning role. Which makes me sad when the winner isn't recorded (like Judy Kaye in Phantom and the boys from Billy Elliot are ones that spring to mind). A couple times the winning role doesn't have a featured track on the whole album (like Peg Murray for Cabaret in 1966, she doesn't sing anywhere on that album although her character sings, at least in the 1998 version).
