So, I have 2
My mom worked in NYC when I was five, so when we visited her, we saw Beauty and the Beast. This was back in 95, and I was five, so, I do not remember it, although, I'm not disappointed
The second one I am very mad that I don't remember it. When I was in fourth grade, my mom had an extra ticket to see the tour of Ragtime so she took me. All I remember is a black woman in a coffin.
I wish I had been older

Xmas 1998 - my first (and only so far) trip to Broadway. I saw Beauty and the Beast, Ragtime, Cabaret, Titanic and one of the first few previews of Fosse. but cannot remember a moment of any of them. My only memories of these productions come from the Fosse DVD as well as the Australian 2002 tour of same production of Cabaret.
At the time I was not into musicals at all, but thankfully I come from a family of theatregoers who brought me over the dark side soon after this trip :)

My first Broadway show was Cats. I couldn't have been a year over 9. All I remember is the Overture, the lead in to The Naming of Cats ("A man over there..."), meeting Deuteronomy onstage during the intermission, having to go to the bathroom at the start of Act II and, I think, coming back around Growltiger's Last Stand.
I also saw the tour of Beauty and the Beast when I was a kid. I only remember the Prologue and Lumiere and Belle waiting for the applause to end after Be Our Guest.
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Camelot, opening night in 1960.
I remember "Gypsy."
I remember "How To Succeed" (and I told Rudy Vallee when the old coot called me in the 80s).
So many shows I have programs for, but no real memories of,
but the next show I REALLY remember was "Superman" in 66.

For me, Peter Pan with Sandy Duncan.

My first two broadway shows (the same weekend) were "Into the Woods" and "Les Mis" back in 1988 or so when Les Mis was still up at the Broadway theater.
I have little to no memory of either - I was about 7. Though I do remember thinking that the broadway theater WAS all of broadway, since it used to have this great sign that said... "BROADWAY" in lights on it. It doesn't anymore.

Posted: 3/26/09 at 10:29amI was 12 when I saw my high school's production of Me and My Girl. I just don't remember anything about it. Oddly, I remember My Fair Lady and Carousel before that.

Posted: 3/26/09 at 10:50amI have vague memories of seeing the Grease revival in London way back in 1998. From what I remember, I seemed to really enjoy it, though I would NEVER go near that revival currently playing at the Picadilly!

"Vague memories of 1998."
Dear God.
I have memories of 1998 that no ammount of scotch can erase.
And don't even whisper 1997...

My parents took me to Beauty and the Beast when I was about 4 or 5 years old, probably early 1995. I vaguely remember Be Our Guest happening, and I remember feeling like I was really far away from the stage though my parents swear we were sitting mid-orchestra. I know I loved it, but I remember absolutely no details. I really wish my parents had kept the playbill...
Then I saw Cats for my 6th birthday... 7th birthday... and then a third time because I really really wanted to and my Grandma said okay. I LOVED IT, but I still remember very little of it. Now I know better, but what are you going to say to a 6 year old who just got a kitten? I feel bad for putting my family through it three times!

Posted: 3/26/09 at 7:54pmLes Mis is now one of my favorite shows, but the first time I saw it around 1990, I have no recollection of, except the song "Stars" because I thought it looked so realistic that I was convinced that the stage must have had a retractable ceiling and that the stars on stage were actually the stars outside. This may have also had something do with the fact that it was at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago, in the back, which made the stage verrrrrrrrry far away.

Oklahoma!
I saw it when the revival when it first opened and hated it, that is the extent of my memory.
The other day I was watching videos of it and still hated it.

Posted: 3/26/09 at 8:02pmI saw My Fair Lady a few weeks ago and loved it. My mom insists that she took me to a production when I was four or five and that it was the best show she'd ever seen, but I didn't remember anything of it at all except that there was a guy named "Colonel Pickering," which I thought was a hilarious name at the time.
