Musicals that would be fun to have a sequel to

Posted: 5/18/08 at 1:30amNot that they're going to be good. No musical sequel is. But, what shows do you think about having a future? I have a "Rent 2" vision all the time. Collins adopts and names the baby after Angel. Mark becomes a big indie director. That's basically it. "Ragtime", well, the children will receive a lot of bigotry for having brothers and sisters of different races and religions (black, Jewish), but otherwise they have a happy life. We won't even get into "Cats".

Haircut - sequel to Hair
(I can't tell you how much I hate the concept of sequels that were thought up after the success of the original.)

If Lucy didn't die (which if she ddin't it would be a really boring show with no thrill AHHA) I would have loved to see Lucy in a Jekyll & Hyde (without the Jekyll and without the Hyde) sequel. But it'd be like that Les Mis book sequel: Cosette where Javert didn't actually die, he just fooled everyone.
It'd be cool to have a sequel to EVITA, but documenting Juan Peron's life after her or Che's, or even the Mistress could possibly be interesting (probably not).
