Besides American Psycho, are there any musicals with a heavy electronic music influence? I dont mean those that might have adopted cheesy 80s synth sounds like Les Miz at the time.

One of the reasons I love Starlight Express is it’s an unapologetically electronic-heavy score. In the original run, it employed a Fairlight. The German cast has released multiple albums over the years and keeps updating the orchestrations to current styles. The song that replaced Lotta Locomotion is very evocative of Beyoncé’s Girls (Run The World) and they’ve made lots of other effective modernizations.
I would love to have this show revived with custom instruments that trigger midi sounds. It would be like actors playing Rock Band video game in a John Doyle production. ALW, are you reading this?
Here Lies Love. Underrated to say the least.
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, based on The Flaming Lips album, played La Jolla but never came in.
