This unrelated, but my favorite headline in the last few months: Idina Menzel dyes hair blonde - preparing to play Elsa in Frozen on Broadway?!?!

She's not gonna be in it people can really stop with that.

Uh, no no no. Betsy Wolfe is most certainly my pick. Although I do hate how this thread was presented, I feel compelled to campaign for Betsy as Elsa. OP, why don't you start a thread about dream casting or something instead of making separate posts for each cast you'd like people to know? It would be more fun that way.

 1,000% agree. Although Elsa is a pretty fleshed out character, too, so whoever does take the role on could also hit it out of the park acting wise. Do you think Elsa will be Featured Actress or Lead Actress?

You know I thought about Laura Osnes as Anna but I think it is more of a part for an unknown, or someone known but not yet a household name. For Elsa just get someone who could slay it like Caroline Bowman.

Let's exclusively cast Wicked OBC/Alumni since Frozen is basically a lame attempt at being Wicked. 

 

Elsa - Adele Dazeem

Anna - Kristin Chenoweth 

Hans - Joel Grey (would love to see what he does with the role) 

Kristoff - Norbert Leo Butz

Olaf - Taye Diggs

Sven - Christopher Fitzgerald 

 

I'm sure Idina, Kristin, and Taye would love to all work with each other on a show.

 

If that doesn't work can we just have Patti and Bernadette play Anna and Elsa? That would kind of make my entire life. Mandy can play Olaf.

But you're not transgender. Being gay doesn't give you a free pass. I'm gay too. Don't misuse your privilege. Just stop saying clearly transphobic things.

I'm not sure. I'm not a composer or book-writer or a casting director. I've been asking the same thing for years. Don't try to hide the fact that you're being offensive by asking this. Trans issues are not your scapegoat.
