Thank you for this. I was afraid you'd never tell us.
This unrelated, but my favorite headline in the last few months: Idina Menzel dyes hair blonde - preparing to play Elsa in Frozen on Broadway?!?!
She's not gonna be in it people can really stop with that.
"Thank you for this. I was afraid you'd never tell us. "
Are you being sarcastic or were you complimenting me?
There's so much sarcasm in that reply it's crazy...
Anna- Stephanie styles or Taylor louderman
elsa- Alison luff or morgan James
hans- Santino Fontana or Derek Klena
kristoff- Johnathan groff or Gavin creel
Uh, no no no. Betsy Wolfe is most certainly my pick. Although I do hate how this thread was presented, I feel compelled to campaign for Betsy as Elsa. OP, why don't you start a thread about dream casting or something instead of making separate posts for each cast you'd like people to know? It would be more fun that way.
I think whoever plays Elsa will get a Tony nom just because they have to sing Let it Go 8 times a week lol

1,000% agree. Although Elsa is a pretty fleshed out character, too, so whoever does take the role on could also hit it out of the park acting wise. Do you think Elsa will be Featured Actress or Lead Actress?
Anna - Leading
Elsa - Leading
Assuming they give Hans and Kristoff more to sing (which they will)...
Kristoff, Hans, & Olaf - Featured
...If they had to be categorized.
Ethel Merman.
Because she is Miss Birdseye.

Patti Lupone- Elsa
Mandy Patinkin- Anna
Directed by John Doyle
It'll be set in a 1940's mental institution. Sven the reindeer starts by singing a somber version of Let it Go in a straight jacket.
Laura Osnes OR Kara Linsday as Anna
Jonathan Groff OR Hunter Parrish OR Chris McCarrell OR Derek Klena as Kristoff or I'll be v upset
Santino Fontana OR Aaron Tveit OR Reeve Carney OR Matt Doyle as Hans
I don't even wanna begin with the possibilities for Elsa but I think Caroline Bowman would slay it.
You know I thought about Laura Osnes as Anna but I think it is more of a part for an unknown, or someone known but not yet a household name. For Elsa just get someone who could slay it like Caroline Bowman.
Let's exclusively cast Wicked OBC/Alumni since Frozen is basically a lame attempt at being Wicked.
Elsa - Adele Dazeem
Anna - Kristin Chenoweth
Hans - Joel Grey (would love to see what he does with the role)
Kristoff - Norbert Leo Butz
Olaf - Taye Diggs
Sven - Christopher Fitzgerald
I'm sure Idina, Kristin, and Taye would love to all work with each other on a show.
If that doesn't work can we just have Patti and Bernadette play Anna and Elsa? That would kind of make my entire life. Mandy can play Olaf.
"Anna-Laura Osnes

Kristoff-Josh Young

I updated my choices for Anna, Kristoff and Hans
Actually Joel Grey would be a great Duke Of Weselton
Caitlyn Jenner as Anna
Hedwig as Elsa
Yitzhak as Olaf
Disney presents:
Frozen: A Transgender Musical
It'll be a smash hit with the religious crowd.
I'm just going to leave this here.

I bet you think this comment is so funny... But actually it's very offensive. That's all.
^Whoops. Looks like someone is being pc.
My best friend is a transgender and I'm in no way bigoted towards his group of people in any way.
"My best friend is a transgender and I'm in no way bigoted towards his group of people in any way."
That's like saying the N word and then saying that your best friend is black so it doesn't make you racist. You're not quirky.

I didn't say anything diragatory. What I said was definitely NOT like saying the N word. I'm gay myself and I've been called diragatory things. I KNOW what is offensive.
BTW
When is there going to be a transgender musical with actual transgender actors?
I think it's time for that.
"I'm gay myself and I've been called diragatory things. I KNOW what is offensive."
But you're not transgender. Being gay doesn't give you a free pass. I'm gay too. Don't misuse your privilege. Just stop saying clearly transphobic things.
"When is there going to be a transgender musical with actual transgender actors?"
I'm not sure. I'm not a composer or book-writer or a casting director. I've been asking the same thing for years. Don't try to hide the fact that you're being offensive by asking this. Trans issues are not your scapegoat.
