From what I've been hearing of the two, My Fair Lady.

Nothing irks me more than when someone asks for advice in choosing between two choices and one person answers with a choice that the original person did not mention. If they were open for other suggestions they would have said so.

But Carousel has Lindsay Mendez! Surely she's much better than that boring MFL score with it's bad book scenes. ![]()

Carousel wasn’t good either. I wouldn’t see either production again, even for free.
Also, I would personally rather know if none of the shows I was considering were going to be the best choice. It’s what I would recommend to a family member or friend, so why not here. If you want to still go, go.

Carousel:
Positives:
Singing— J Henry / L Mendez fabulous,
Cast— Top shelf, incl J Mueller and R Fleming,
Choreography— Best on Bway by J Peck,
Dancing— Strong ensemble with two NYC Ballet standouts in principal roles of Jigger and Louise,
Orchestration — Wow,
Storyline/Music by Rogers & Hammerstein; spectacular songs including You’ll Never Walk Alone (guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes)
Negatives:
Still in previews and seems to be changing a little each day,
Long at 2 hrs 40 minutes,
Dated,
Sets not overly elaborate.
My vote: Carousel
