It depends when you get back home.
The hangovers can be a doozy.
Well we wouldn't be able to come back to Maryland until Monday morning if we saw an 8pm show. If we see a 3pm show, we could leave that evening and be in bed by 11.

Cooooolkid- did you read? They have to get back to Maryland as well.
Honestly, I bet Julia will do both shows on Sunday. Obviously you can't be sure, but I would think since this is an added thing she would do the 3pm show.
Ok so honestly it sounds like you don't want to go that bad. I mean if you wanna see her in her last stop making excuses to not go. Just do it. Get the 8 o'clock tickets! Its not hard to sell tickets to a show that is almost always sold out! Trust me you can sell the 3 o'clocks see on ebay or go to a fansite like witches of oz or something. If worst comes to worst and you want to wait until the day of the show just stand in front of the theater, there will be tons of ticketless people.
Oh, did I fail to mention these are $300 premium Ticketmaster seats?
My bad.
Yeah.
Not exactly easy to unload!!!!! And it's stupid to spend $250 plus on a ticket when you haven't sold the $600 set you already have!
So far, no one is bidding. Please pray for me. LOL!

Julia will do both shows. It's her last friggin day. She wouldn't miss either that day. She'll probably miss one or both on Saturday.
You think so, Trash?
I HOPE so.

They're probably right. But if I were you, I guess I would try to get evening tickets before the matinee, and if it doesn't work just go to the matinee. Or you could lotto for evening, but that's obviously a huge gamble since Wicked lotto is about the scariest thing to even look at on Broadway. (at least in my opinion) But then again, like Trash said, she probably won't want to miss a show on her last day. Or, if you were feeling particularly Wicked-ish, you could just see both the evening and matinee. lol
According to the NYRP as the event gets closer they'll have all the details- like closer to September 4th when tickets go on sale to the general public and not just AMEX card holders- and I'm assuming all the details will mean confirming Julia being in the show.
Thanks, Stella. I will just medicate myself until September 4 and then see what's what.
Yes. I'm serious.
I think that I am going to make it my policy to call Idina Menzel, "Deeners Menzel" from now on.
Good luck, Midora. I did lotto for Wicked solely because I was interested in seeing Julia Murney in the role. I won, and then it turned out that Lisa Brescia was on. That's theatre-- there are no guarantees.
I like to privately refer to Idina as "Alice" for obvious reasons.
Yes, there are no guarantees in live theatre, but I think it's safe to say that you have a much HIGHER chance of your star being there on their last day.
Oh, if someone stagedoors Julia, lemme know what she says. Thanks!

She says, "Call me Julia."
Actually, I read that she really does tell people to call her "Julia".

But you missed the memo! Yay! Well, I guess someone had to.

I honestly don't mean to be rude, but I'm not sure what kind of answer you're looking for? None of us are Julia Murney or God (at least not that I know of); therefore, we cannot give a prediction as to whether or not she'll be there. I would imagine she's going to try and be at every show she possibly can be, considering she's a professional actress in a major B'way show, and it seems ungrateful to not want to perform. But who knows, again, I'm not her, so I can't speak for her.
The problem is that this not a normal circumstance. 9 shows in one week??
That's ok, though. I got some good ideas, input, and suggestions in between the foolishness and fluff.

You seem to have your hands full with Julia and Fantasia! It's not easy spending so much money to see a certain performer only to end up not being sure whether or not they will appear. Good luck to you!
Not to be too critical or mean...
but your initial post confused
me alot. Maybe proofread before
submitting...your typos and abbreviations
are more than I can comprehend.
Wicked is not the ultimate Broadway
experience! It is a good show though.
Scot:
Sorry you are confused. Judging by the decent amount and quality of the answers I got, I feel that I was clear enough.
Not sure what "typos" you are talking about, so I can't address that. But here is a breakdown of the abbreviations and informal references, since they have eluded your comprehension:
10/7 = October 7th. Also known as the 7th Day of the 10th Month (of the Gregorian calendar).
NYPR - New York Restoration Project (run a search, see the thread about their special performance of "Wicked")
Bette = Bette Midler. She is a singer and actress.
UK = United Kingdom (The countries that are 'United' are England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales)
PM - Post Meridiem. The period of time between noon and midnight.
Jules/Julia - Ms. Julia K. Murney. Current cast as 'Elphaba' in the play "Wicked" in New York City, New York.
GF - Girlfriend. (Platonic if you care to know.)
Lisa - Ms. Lisa Brescia. The current understudy to Julia K. Murney.
Cheers!
But you missed the memo! Yay! Well, I guess someone had to.

"Ok, so I'm sure as lots of you know, a few of us got tickets to the 10/7 Wicked to see Julia in her last performance. THEN the NYRP thing was added, which she will probably do being such a big Charity person AND a Bette fan. Now, I live in Maryland so I will be taking the train up to NY. Because of that, I feel kind of iffy about going just to see a particular person, especially in a show that I don't really care for. I dread getting up the Gershwin getting that evil little piece of paper saying I'm seeing Lisa. But I'm going to the UK for a year, so whatever Jules does next isn't an option for me, unless she's taking a European tour. So I took the gamble and purchased the tickets. I figured unless she pulls an Idina and falls through a hole or something, she would do her last day simply because it's her last. But now I'm panicking because she's slated to do 2 performances on 10/7. I'm scared she'll skip the matinee and just do the night show. And enough people on here have seen Lisa instead of Julia, so I don't think I'm too far off the mark in that concern.
Normally, I'd just buy a second ticket to the 8pm and camp out at my favorite hotel in Midtown. But I'm bringing a friend with me and she's a teacher, so she has to be in the classroom on Monday morning. So the 8pm show is out of the question for her."
Oy vey!
