The commercial is actually pretty good. Much better than the actual show...
I liked the ending when the curtain opens. lol. Is that how the show actually opens? Wish the actual lyrics to the theme song were on it, though.

Yes, Thing rattles across to center stage from behind the curtain. Then you see a hand (Thing) pull back the curtain. Like seen in the commercial to reveal the Addams standing behind the graveyard gate.
@Fnyboi88 Thanks! And that happens towards the end of the overture? (Probably during the chorus lead-in to "When You're An Addams"?)
The phone booth posters in the commercial are actually up all over midtown. Don't know if the taxi sign ads are.
Ads within ads. Pretty clever.

jacobsnchz14- If you listen to the overture, at around 30 seconds left in the song, a spotlight projects onto the far stage right side of the curtain, and you see some thing rattling the curtain. It begins to move towards center stage, where it reveals itself, Thing, in the curtain's split. It pulls on the curtain open, exactly as it shows in the commercial.
This is the chicago production, but same idea. Go to 2:20 in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP1Zu0hpQHQ
I like how they don't even use any of Andrew Lippa's music, not even his overture which is a variation of the original tune anyway. (Though I'm not complaining, although I really enjoy the Overture!)
Thanks @LegallyBroadway2! LOVE the way the show opens! I wish they had released the version they recorded of "Clandango" for the OBCR.
