It should've just been a one woman show starring Meredith Patterson.

HEDWIG is all wrong for almost every Broadway theatre. The best fit I can think of is the Circle in the Square.

^That's what I thought initially, but it's taken by Lombardi.
Wow, I JUST yesterday bought tickets for the July 8th performance from TDF. Oh well. Sad!
Not surprising. The shows I wanted to see most either closed or are closing before I can get there. No wonder I got such a great hotel deal. I knew there would be a trade-off somewhere.

I know it's taken by Roundabout, but I think the American Airlines is actually a pretty decent sized house for most Broadway shows - plays or small musicals. Same with the Schoefeld (sp?).
And it does suck that this is closing, but let's be honest, it will play every regional theater in the upcoming year. It sucks that it was overshadowed by RED, which IMO, isn't as good of a play.
Not to start a whole "plays vs. musicals" debate, but does anyone else think this and other similar shows could be saved by lowering ticket prices?? Not to disregard these shows, but it doesn't make sense that a small play charges the same as spectacle musicals and star studded shows. To the average person, if they're gonna spend $100 on a ticket, I have a feeling they will almost always pick either the "big" musical (Wicked, Phantom) or the "star" show (Fences) versus random little plays like Next Fall or Reasons to be Pretty. I would be interested to see the results if tickets were lowered to the $60 range or so.
