Is this possible? Could the producers and the Shuberts agree that the Booth is a better choice for Next To Normal? Would sets or tickets have to be changed? Is the Longacre contract inviolably writ in stone? No snark please; I am seriously asking because I don't know and would like to know. Thank you.
Highly doubt this will happen...although it would be a pretty smart move.
Tickets have not gone on sale yet.
As far as the rest of it, it's been discussed in the other thread.
Sure anything is possible, but I find it kind of weird that they would make the big announcement a week ahead if they had legitimately thought this was a possibility. Especially since tickets weren't on sale yet.
Just MHO.

I haven't seen N2N yet, but from what I've read, it seems that the Booth might be a better spot than the Longacre (not in terms of location, but in terms of the size of the house).
Ed, they are closing the balcony in the Longacre making them virtually the same size house.
It's possible. Just this season, Speed the Plow was originally going to open at the Belasco, but moved to the Barrymore when it became available following the cancellation of Godspell. (Doesn't that seem like a thousand years ago?)

Yes, I'm aware of that. But I don't think limiting the seating of a larger house makes it a smaller house.
It's definitely an avoid the last part of the orchestra thing at the Booth though. The top will be totally cut off of the set.
But like I said on the other thread, it's opening. Who really cares where at this point. Just open! :)
