Ah, on "The Bells of St. Sebastian" right now. That song literally turns me inside out - I think it's impossibly pretty.
We had to get tickets from a broker (something we NEVER do) to sit where we wanted to and I really, really have zero regrets about that.

Now what would you say if today I started over?

Molina and Randy Graff were just amazing together.
i loved the trees and the moon and the orchestra onstage and the little paths that the little girls took. it was all very engulfing. The lanterns going out over the audience.
every bit of it was an all encompassing expierence. not simply a revival.

Nine is probably one of the shows with the most beautiful scores on Broadway. I wish I hadn't been so young when the Tommy Tune original production opened, it must have been so brilliant. I find the staging of "Be Italian" for the Tony performance was impeccable, I can only imagine what Tune did with the rest of the show. I believe this is one of those shows that belong to him as much as to Yeston. I prefer Antonio Banderas' Guido to Raul Julia's but according to Tune, Julia was the center of the original show, he calls him his "muse."

Anita Morris made her entrance... well actually, they seemed to peel the theater away to reveal her in this outfit that was painted on her naked body. I know it was a catsuit but I liked to dream it was painted on her by a very patient and loving artist.
And that would have been my role.
I have never heard anyone make the name 'Guido' sound so sexy......

Can we sigh and reminice about Laura Benanti's gorgeous vocals on "Unusual Way?"

The way Laura goes "Guiiidoooooo" first thing is just...
Never mind, I'll just join in the Laura sighs of happiness.

There are a bunch of people that say Leveaux is about style over substance. I couldn't disagree more.
His NINE and FIDDLER are two of my favorite things I have ever seen - he made me fall in loved with FIDDLER all over again - a show that is already over-produced. I thought Molina was sublime, and I though Fierstein was brilliant. Loved everything about the revival - it should have won best sets over WICKED.
I also liked JUMPERS, but really didn't like THE GLASS MENAGERIE at all. Overall, I'm a big Leveaux fan. I would love to see him revive something like ANNIE and make it dark.

Nine was absolutely fantastic! I came from Switzerland to NYC for a couple of days to see my all-time favourite actress Mary Stuart Masterson live on stage in this wonderful musical. I was also very pleased that I had the chance to see the great and incredible Chita Rivera.
It was truly worth it!

This is my favorite show of all time. A friend of mine was lucky enough to be in the cast. I sat front row and don't think I blinked once.

Wholeheartedly. And without reservations.
Buy the cast recording - either one, though I'm partial to the revival because that was the one I saw, but I grew up with the other and I love them both.

I discovered Nine right after it closed (the revival). Tears all around as it's probably my second favorite show. I went through this weird phase where I would listen to it like three times a day.
