In today's NY Times Arts, Briefly, Lawrence Van Gelder mentions Vanessa Williams' BA from Syracuse where she dropped out to enter the Miss America Pageant so many years ago.
Oddly, he mentions her winning a Tony Award, which everyone here knows she never did. I find it amazing that someone would go out of their way to mention it and not check the facts.
I know it's a big 'who cares', but I am still surprised.

Friday and Sunday have the biggest theatre sections, though listings are in every daily paper.
