NYers-last chance to see Rent on the big screen#0

Okay have been doing a bit of searching and questioning and found this out:

Rent will be playing at the United Artists Union Square Stadium 14 once everyday at 3:20 until Jan 5, last day.

Now I am confused about AMC 25 theatres on 42nd St. IMDB and fandango don't have it listed as a theater showing Rent and Fandango actually has the full showtimes for the theater and no Rent, but it came up on moviefone till at least the 5th mostly at 7:30 and 10:30. I've been trying to call the theater but it's just been ringing, no answer. Anyone have more info on that theater and whether or not Rent is playing?

I would think if it is still playing there, it would most likely end the 5th, and if not, then I'd say most definitely the 12th, but I'd be prepared for the 5th to be the last chance for NYers to see it on the big screen, just thought some of you would want this info.

In all of NY there isn't a second-run theater it'll flip to?

I was going to go to AMC tomorrow to see it one more time before meeting up with some people later on. I hope it's still there.

bdwaygirl, assuming it is playing there, could you find out up to what date it is indeed playing?

I just went to the AMC site and pulled it up for tomorrow. Looks like there's only 7:40 PM and 10:35 PM showings. That won't work within my time frame.

I hit a couple different dates. Looks like it's listed until at least January 5. They don't have any movies listed at all after that date. Who knows if/when that'll change, though.

Please be aware that movie houses may pull a film at any time after initial guarantee periods are over. If a film isn't doing well it can be here one day and gone the next even if it is supposed to run to a certain date later on. Immediately, another film that is doing better can be substituted - particularly at multi-plexes. It really is on a day by day basis based on box office figures. So if something is scheduled to play until Jan. 5th, it may or may not actually make it to that date. You really have to check on the day you are going.

The AMC on 42nd Street is weird. movies come and go and return randomly.
