The 2009 revival of West Side Story. It was a very good production and I was very impressed for my first broadway production, Until I saw more shows :)

1995 -- SUNSET BOULEVARD with Glenn Close

This first trip to NYC and Broadway was a high school graduation gift from my mother. We also saw BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, MISS SAIGON, LES MIZ, and SHOWBOAT on that trip.

I've been hoooked on it ever since!

Hey, ShubertAlleyCat, I'd like to know more about your impressions of SHOWBOAT. I saw a production at a very early age and it had quite an impact on me, as it's basically the genesis of musical theater (IMHO). The score remains glorious!
