No she's not. Donna Vivino is playing Enid, the lesbian student activist.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

No, Donna dropped out apparently to continue doing FAME BECOMES ME. I actually heard that Christine Pedi was offered first to take over for MAD TV's Nicole, but turned it down. It was then offered to Donna. Lucky for her. Congrats to Natalie!!! She will be an amazing Enid. I know the cast is happy!!

Natalie Joy Johnson was in that train wreck of a "Rent" wannabe called "Bare" a few years ago. It has a freaky, small-but-loud fan base that mostly lives on this board, which would explain the excitement. She was sort of a generic heavy-girl-with-angst type.

Natalie is an Amazing Sunger/Actress who has been doing a lot of Cabaret and sining and drinking in clubs.
Is the Lesbian an ensemble role?

I wouldn't call it a supporting role. But she's great. I really think she could kill as Elphaba if only they'd let her.

While she may be able to sing the above mentioned roles, (the same exact roles everyone is always mentioned for), she's not the right type physically, for any of them. And that's about as nicely put as I can make it. On ibdb, it still has Donna Vivino's name. If this is true, IMO, Vivino had a big lapse in judgement.

I'm not implying that Elphaba has to be "skinny" and I don't know if you're being sarcastic but she shouldn't be "zaftig" sorry but that's simply the truth.

Well, I'm a proud and loud Baree, so I am thrilled that Natalie will be doing this. She needs more exposure, her talent is insane.
