Hi everyone! Im taking my mom to see Moulin Rouge soon. I’ve already seen it once with original Satine. Has anyone seen Natalie Mendoza yet? To be honest, the US Open performance was a bit off but I also think it was the venue. Curious because Karen’s voice was so strong. Excited either way but hoping shes a great Satine!

According to my friend, she thought Natalie was gorgeous, incredibly funny, and a good singer but not as strong at Karen's voice. The understudies in this show are really good though, so regardless, I think you will have a wonderful time.

I personally preferred Natalie to Karen. She had a very unique voice which I think is perfect for the role. She also appeared to be having the time of her life on stage so that alone was a thrill.
I would love to see Natalie as Satine. I saw the show three times, and while Olivo is talented, they're very inconsistent. She was okay the first two times I saw her, and then the third time she blew me away. I was wondering where that performance was the first two times I saw her... Anyways, for anyone going soon, have fun - this show is a total blast.
