Hmm. I haven't really been keeping up with Moulin Rouge! attendance, but per her social media, it does seem like Ashley Loren has been on a lot lately.

Natalie is so damn talented, loved seeing her up there with Aaron F (his debut as Christian!) but she takes many, many mental health days. She seems to prioritize the mind, body, soul connection above anything else. As long as her employer is cool with it, I doubt anyone else cares.

She doesn’t get paid for her missed performances so if she can afford it and the producers allow it, more power to her.  This performance pattern will definitely affect future projects.  She won’t be insurable, which is required for film and TV work.

She missed most of the month of February, and towards the end of the month it seemed like she was quietly on medical leave. The show doesn't seem to want to announce anything about it (I'd imagine they're worried about how it reflects on them after what happened with Karen) but she came back last week. Based on her instagram it seems like she has been dealing with health issues caused by Covid. Her attendance was fine pre-December, and she's led an Alex Timbers musical before and he apparently loves working with her so she clearly wasn't having these attendance issues before.

That can't really be confirmed but I'm sure that is true as well, sick days can be for both physical and mental. I hope she feels much better soon. I think post covid, people won't talk much about attendance records regarding actors (like the tone people did with Karen).
