re: Nederlander Mezz question

There are buses from the door of the Nederlander to Cipriani's.

Seriously, there's no way would they let the cast just causally walk down the street on a night like this- they'd be accosted. Especially since the security is probably worried about chaotic stagedoor-like situations.

Ohh, I see. Do you get to go on a bus too, Skittles?

Everyone does. I think for the extremely high donations, they get a limo for their party or something, I don't remember exactly.

re: Nederlander Mezz question

Okay, so we are still undecided on whether or not to go but one of the biggest things holding us back is that my sister isn't sure she has something appropriate to wear. Of course we live ten seconds from a mall but . . . So just how fancy do we think this thing is? I'm planning to wear slacks and a nice shirt if we go. She has new slacks but they need to be hemmed and at this short notice it is hard. Could she get away with brown cords, a shirt and a jacket (suit type jacket--nice)?

As long as we're supposed to be deciding for Emcee, could someone tell us what we're doing as well? lol

re: Nederlander Mezz question

I just spoke to my parents. They're not going to tell me no, but they are saying they think it's mildly impractical, and that maybe I should think of it in a different way -- when it was impossible, and I couldn't go, I just went "okay, I can't go" and moved on, and my mom says I should keep in that frame of mind. But it IS possible. I don't think they're willing to give me any money, which I guess is okay. I feel like I could make that money back working over the summer; but you can't go back in time and un-do a choice, which I've been learning the hard way recently.

Em-I know what you mean! When the tickets were $1000-$2000 it was just way out of reach. There was no way I was paying that to see a concert, no matter how much I would love to see the OBC. But now that it is "cheaper" ("" cause we all know this is far from cheap!) and the tickets are within reach it is hard to not go! Wish I didn't know about these seats that are just there waiting for us to buy them!

re: Nederlander Mezz question

I know the invites said "Come as you are" but if you're going to spend $500 on a ticket, you probably want to step it up a notch from what you would wear to a normal show. Unless you're the kind of person that would wear torn-up sweats to Sweeney, in which case, ignore this post because I don't want to associate with you.

I mean, I don't know about everyone else, but there are so few opportunities to dress up, so why not take advantage of it when you can? It's not the prom, but it's not just any other performance. *shrugs*

*beats head into wall*

This was so much easier when it was impossible.

I do like dressing up. re: Nederlander Mezz question

re: Nederlander Mezz question

I totoally agree, Em. It was sooo much easier when it was impossible. You looked at it and said, "Oh, I would love to go but there is just no way . . ." We agonized over it last night and this morning. Finally we just took a deep breath and did it. I know there are still plenty more tickets . . . :)

re: Nederlander Mezz question

after reading this thread my dilema is even greater...I'm thinking I should buy a ticket now, and if I get in by lottery somehow, I'm sure I could find someone to buy it tomorrow...

re: Nederlander Mezz question

^that's my issue.

Wait...is the Netherlander box office even selling these tickets? I am confused. I don't have a credit card. And if within the next 20 minutes I go insane...I just realized I need to know where I am going. The $500 are sitting there. My issue is I don't even know if I can make it to the lottery in time tomorrow. re: Nederlander Mezz question

re: Nederlander Mezz question

I mean our dad paid for half of each of our ticket as a bday present to my sister (well she split the money with me cause shes nice re: Nederlander Mezz question ) but we weren't going to chance it with the lottery- if you wont be there by one you won't even get a chance to fill out a form the line will be so long. The Nederlander box office does have rear mezz tickets for 500.

Ours are in the rear mezz row E so not that bad, hopefully we can see everything. I mean I have sat in the last row of the orchestra and you can see everything from there, it can't be that much further back than that can it? I know its higher but thats not a big issue I don't think. My sister just doesn't want them to be little blurs on the stage lol

meagan I think you will definitly find someone who will buy your ticket- esp if you are willing to maybe lower the price a bit but then you will lose money- I am not sure if too many people will pay 500 otherwise they would have bought one in the first place, but you surely will find someone who just lost the lottery who wants a ticket badly enough to pay it.
