Hey I was asked to choreograph/direct a number for a musical theatre revue at my old high school, it has an extremely good program vocally with especially strong tenors and soprano's all are good dancers, any ideas? High school appropriate please!

really not sure what you mean...

for how many people, for how long? any particular type?

any particular theme?

give us some ideas of what they've done before...

They do a musical revue each year

It has to be school appropriate, I'm looking for a number with 12-20 people. They've done numbers from any number of musicals such as H2$, Footloose, Grease, Music Man, etc. anything you think would be awesome.

you may want to consider these:

the opening number and Side by Side from COMPANY

Lullabye of Broadway from 42ND STREET

a medley of Friendship, You're the Top and Anything Goes from ANYTHING GOES

a medley of Wouldn't It Be Loverly, On The Street Where You Live, I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face, I Could Have Danced All Night, and Get Me to the Church On Time from MY FAIR LADY

a medley of All That Jazz and Razzle Dazzle from CHICAGO

does this help at all, is this what ya mean?

Yep, I'm not very interested in medleys but those other 2 are excellent ideas, I've just had director's block!

If you want to highlight their dancing try "Buenos Aires" from Evita. The song could be reworked for several people to sing the solos.

If you want to highlight their singing instead, "A New Argentina" from Evita.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Have you considered anything from West Side Story?
Also, "Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat" from Guys and Dolls

"We Dance" or "Why We Tell The Story" from Once On This Island would be great numbers. Wonderful energy in both songs and great choreography and vocals.
