Hey all... I'm coming in from Baltimore (where I go to school) this coming weekend with the hopes of seeing three of the following four shows: FROST/NIXON, LOVEMUSIK, A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN, and BLACKBIRD.
I know all four offer student rush, and MOON in particular offers a lot of student tickets (I believe 60), but I'm not sure how in demand each of them are.
I've found what time each one's box office opens and such... I was just wondering if anyone had heard/seen/experienced anything about how crazy/non-crazy each one's student rush is, or knew how early I should show up if I want to get a ticket.
Thanks in advance, and I'd appreciated ANY sort of input!

I've done F/N and Moon. They had both just started previews, and it was a weekday, but... I was the ONLY one in line at F/N that morning. I was first in line for Moon (got there about 8...didn't know about the 60 ticket thing), and there were probably 10-15 other people in line when the box office opened.
I've read on here that you can get F/N student tix in advance...I don't know if that's true or not...and if so how it's affecting student rush.
My guess is with 60 (assuming that's true) you've probably got a little more leeway with Moon.
I have no clue about the other two.
Frost/Nixon can be purchased in advance. I bought one for nearly two weeks into the future. The seats are pretty good, but there is a bit of an echo during certain parts.
Frost/Nixon can be bought in advance. You should see that one. Go see LoveMusik, the tickets are slightly more expensive than normal student rush ($31.25 I think), but it's a good show. And try to see Blackbird because it is absolutely amazing. Stay far away from Moon for the Misbegotten.
Go see Grey Gardens, too. It's fantastic. (we all know I say that)
Hehe, I've already seen 'Grey Gardens' thrice, but thanks!
(The third time, both Ebersole and Wilson were out and the theatre was almost completely empty. I felt bad for Maureen Moore, who was wonderful!)
I do want to see 'Blackbird' more than 'Moon' but I might save it for when I'm living in NYC this summer, since it's the only one of the 4 that's popularity will be unaffected by Tony nominations (since it's ineligible).
To those who've done the LoveMusik rush, does it get crazy? I would think (like Grey Gardens) it's not a huge "student" show, but I may be wrong.
I'm bumping this thread because I did not want to start another.
I've got a question for those who have rushed A Moon...what time did you guys get there? Do I have to go super early when the box office opens or could I get closer to curtain time?
I saw LoveMusik during previews, and got there right when the box office opened, and was told student rush tickets were sold out. There were not many (i think like 4?) and the people who received them arrived 30 minutes before the box office opened.
I went again a few days later during a Wed. matinee and grabbed tickets at noon...and joined the rest of the elderly people in the audience :)
Hope this helps. I have no idea how busy it has gotten since previews, but if I were you, I'd show up at the box office ~30 min. before it opens.

I did LoveMusik student rush on a Tuesday, second week of May. I was there 15 minutes before the box office opened and was the first one there. Don't need to wait an outrageous amount of time at that one at all.
They only had 4 tickets available for rush? What kind of rush is that? Are the numbers still like that or did it have something to do with being in previews?
little_sally: If you scroll up and assume the 60 ticket thing is true, then your chances of getting tickets are probably good if you go to the box office right when it opens. If you want, you can get there an hour before it opens. If there isn't a long line or one at all, you can walk around a bit, grab something to eat, and keep checking the theater.
