I could be completly wrong, but weren't people "positive" that the strike was going to end Monday?
Obviously it's not.
BTW, performances still aren't cancelled.

While I hope for an end to the strike - PLEASE do remember that there are still shows running on Broadway and off-Broadway. And while you shouldn't need an excuse to check out some of the great talent elsewhere besides the Times Square area - why not let it be until it's resolved?
Some of the best work I've ever seen on stage has been off-Broadway.
Just saying...

I'm with Craig.
Jayne Houdyshell is giving the strongest female performance of the fall in The Receptionist. Charles Busch and co. are doing hilarious work in Die Mommie Die. The poignant revue that is Make Me A Song will get you misty-eyed.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:55pmI don't think the producers are going to cave. From what I know, they are the ones who walked away tonight. If they were close to caving I don't think they would have been the first to walk away.

emcee- They may have only booked the meeting room for the weekend. The Disney guy too may have other work to do in California during the week.
It doesn't matter now. Their Thanksgiving plans are all set. I told you they wouldn't put them off for any of us. Go see another show if only out of protest against the other Theatres who can't compromise.
I just hope people look out for each other right now in New York. They just proved to us how much they care for the viewing public.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 11:12pmAll shows cancelled up the 25? That's a slap in the face if I've ever seen one. Well, I've decided that even if by the grace of God the tickets I've got make it out of this I'm not going. So yeah, I'm on strike now too.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 11:23pmThe Wednesday rumor has been posted here too, but I don't put much faith in it. They wouldn't cancel performances if there is a chance of it being resolved, or if the union is gonna cave.
