Wait so is that good or bad?
I am stupid. And don't understand this strike business, really.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:14pmClaudia is correct, as of this evening no resolution was reached and there are currently no new talks scheduled. I'd state my source but I do not want to risk losing my job.

I heard that they have come to an agreement...
They both agree that CATS IS THE BEST MUSICAL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:15pmWhat channel? I just saw something on the news and it said nothing about going back to work tomorrow. I'm sure if that was officially true, it's not something they would neglect to mention.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:18pmthis is so sad that Broadway may not be playing during Thanksgiving week. the Macy's Parade performances will be bittersweet (at least BLONDE's performance certainly will be). i am dying to see Is He Dead?! Broadway, I miss you so much!

At the end of the Newsday article, doesn't it say that the League issues a statement saying they don't know what they are talking about?
Representatives for the League have said they know nothing about the break in negotiations...

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:22pmI figured I'd miss Broadway, as well...but I've seen things off-Broadway that I enjoyed much more than any Broadway show this year.

oi, that really sucks.
so im guessing there most likely wont be a negotiation in the next few days?
hmmm...well it looks like I will be seeing MAURITIUS for a 3rd time, and possibly a 4th and 5th time this week...

Let's hope this all changes on Monday. I would think they may need another location and both hoped to settle it all today.
So very sad. I wish they would lift the imposed work requirements, let everyone go back to work and then fight it out backstage. It seems better than lose it all. This could go on for sometime. I don't expect Local One though to go back to work under the new imposed orders.
I still think it sucks that Nederlanders got into this. I bet Disney feels the same. I still think Ursula's costume though stinks.
One could say this is what happens when only a few Corporations own too much individual Real Estate. also.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:24pmWell, there you go. And I was really hoping that they could work this out in time for the holidays. Well, what are the chances of this being over by Christmas?

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:26pmAre they even continuing talks tomorrow? From what it seems like, they are done negotiating for now...or are they just disbanding for the night?

What does whether they reach an agreement or not have to do with location?
The chance for what, Whiny Josh? That we'll ever see Broadway theater again? Stuff it.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:28pmThis is horrible! I really hope this isn't the foreshadow of a long painful broadway-less holiday season... I don't see how either side can go on like this... I hope not too many shows, workers, actors, etc. pay the price for this ridiculousness!

It sounds as if they done for now, not continuing tomorrow morning.
I am sure that this week there will be enormous pressure on both sides to settle this, from a variety of sources, including the city.

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:28pmDirty Rotten - how about seeing something off-Broadway, rather than Mauritius, which you can probably recite by rote now?

Posted: 11/18/07 at 10:31pmRumor on ATC is that the producers will cave by Wednesday. Even they realize they can't risk a longer strike.
