Sounds nutty. Weird review though as it doesn't say where it is, I had to Google - it is at a venue called the Independent. I'll keep an eye out as the website says more dates may be added. I'll be in San Fran for a long weekend in a couple weeks. Pretty booked up, but have Sunday evening free.
Last weekend snagged a ticket, based on a review on Talking Broadway, for a drag parody show called Jurassic Parq at gay bar Oasis.
When I booked the weekend I didn't realize it was the same one as the big shindig at the Hollywood Bowl, otherwise I may have been tempted to go to LA instead. But San Francisco is nice as there's no need to rent a car.
it’s kind of funny because they keep referring to it as a sold out run. it is taking place in a black box theater which seats about 40 people.
Must be a pretty amateur production. They added a Wednesday performance, August 6 - nothing on the weekend. So guess I'm skipping this. Probably for the best. As a foreign national I probably shouldn't attend something that could be misconstrued as supporting a terrorist. I don't want to get accidentally arrested by ICE.
I've been working lots of overtime this Summer & staying inside the office to make sure I don't get a hint of a tan & stay pasty white. Everyone here tells me I should be afraid for my life traveling San Francisco in 2025. I definitely won't wear a Canadian tuxedo. Hard to believe only 24 years ago our national clothing was the height of fashion. Now it might get me locked up in a secret prison.

Luigi Mangione Musical Eyes More Cities After Sold-Out San Francisco Run

We saw this a few weeks ago. The cast was almost uniformly terrible, but we had a really good time. The songs were funny and the cast certainly was putting in their all.
