Not too exciting but I think it'll be good. No surprises here.

I saw Jeanette Bayardselle on her first show (the 2/3 Wednesday Matinee) and she was amazing!! This "new" Dionne is fabulous and such a sweetheart...(I danced with her on stage).

Ace and Diana definitely should drive up ticket sales since many people crave Idol stars on Broadway (*cough* ROCK OF AGES *cough*)

Does this mean that MTF3 will be crawling out from under that rock he/she has been hiding under now that Emma is back on Broadway??

Does anyone know if Will Swenson is only in London for 2 months and then coming back?

Idk if this will help, but I remember reading a post that he is only going for two months, then opening for "110 In The Shade" in London (I think). The coming back to rejoin HAIR here...

Good question. He's a special talent. I think he'll be back in NYC after a brief stint...we need him here!

I assume you're joking. DeGarmo and Young may both be very good in their roles, but they will have absolutely no affect on box office receipts. None.

Who in the new cast were from the walk-in non-union auditions?

Well DeGarmo will have at least a teeny effect on the box office. I'll be buying a ticket mostly to see and hear her. I thought she was second only to Kerry Butler as Penny in Hairspray and hope she finds at least a little welcome humor in Sheila.

Will Swenson isn't doing 110 in the Shade in London. He's doing it at his cousin's community theatre in Utah. With Audra McDonald. It's a fundraising venture for his family's theatre.

I did hear he was only going to London for 2 months though...Not surprising, since i assume his children will be staying here. And Audra as well.

Is Luther Creek (who played Claude in the Encores! production of the show years ago) part of the new cast?

He's featured in the photo and video coverage of the press event, but he's not actually listed in the press release.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Luther was also in an anniversary tour of Hair in the early Nineties, and has been a mainstay at many Hair reunions. Needless to say, while very much connected to the show and I have no doubt he was there on its behalf, I don't think he's part of the new cast.

The only surprise to me is that Bryce Ryness isn't doing the show anymore, not here, not London.

Unless something has changed recently (which is very possible) Bryce has something else lined up for the near future.

Luther Creek is going to be Woof in London, and Crystal Joy (Pilar in Legally Blonde tour) will also be in the London cast (not sure if she will be in tribe or Dionne).

According to broadway.com picture captions, she'll be tribe. Probably Abe, if I had to guess.

That was my other question- is Saycon staying in Fela or going to London?

My guess is Saycon stays in Fela! and Krystal Joy Brown will be Abe Lincoln in London. Why would Krystal be Dionne, Sasha Allen is tranfering.
