I was hoping she would do Ursula in Little Mermaid.

Other than it has a TERRIFIC cast (including two friends of mine) and sounds like a fun premise...not much else.

They have a good website (which links to the author's blog, so it makes it interesting to be in on "the process").

I'm hoping for very, very good things from this show and highly anticipating the first preview.

Eartha Kitt is FIERCE onstage! Her performance in WILD PARTY completely blew me away.

She was a Diva Supreme as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz! Loved every second of it!

She's 172 years old! How could she possibly have the stamina to do a Broadway show?

On or Off Broadway, it still takes an enormous amount of stamina for a 172 year old woman to perform in a show. Especially if she was once blacklisted by LBJ (who is now dead)

"it still takes an enormous amount of stamina for a 172 year old woman to perform in a show"

we're talking about eartha kitt darling, not Carol Channing.

but anyway, I saw Eartha and Nine and I must say, I've never so badly wanted to have sex with a woman old enough to be my grandmother.

when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.

Kitt is, in fact, younger than Ms. Channing. She is a sprightly (and surprisingly sexy) 78.

She also apparently has a serious Yoga regime, which appears to be working for her.

At 40, I'm not nearly in as good of shape. Go, Eartha!

when carol channing is younger than Eartha Kitt (and no longer looks like the Crypt Keeper) then you can make jokes about Catwoman being sooooooooooooooooooooooo old.

I saw her in the Broadway Christmas concert a few years back...I think it was called Joyful Noise. Eartha did Santa Baby and a few bits.

I remember her preparing for Timbuktu, I think in the late '70s, possibly the same time as Sarava- but did it ever officially open?

I saw it at the Fringe Festival a few years ago. It was a cute show. Still needed some work. Annie Golden was amazing in it though!

It doesn't matter how old you are when you make a pact with Satan. Eartha, Carol and Chita all reap the benefits of an alliance with the devil and so do we. I will pass away long before any of those divas. Rock on sisters!
