New Entertainment Weekly Issue has small feature on RENT movie!

In the new issue of EW (#827/827- June 24/July 1), the magazine features its "Must List" with the most anticipated people and events for the remainder of the year. The cast of the "Rent" movie is featured as #30-37! There is a full page picture of the cast followed by a short column on the film!

BTW... they beat "The Producers" cast on the Must-List! Lane, Broderick, and Thurman were #40-42!

The picture is wonderful and the paragraph is strangely negative for a 'MUST' list.
1. Ted Allen: Everyone has an interesting life if you ask the right questions.
2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

I wonder if Idina gave them that age (foolish as it exists on imdb.com)... It reminds me of the old days of "Rent" when Daphne's age would change from article to article. I think the NYTimes actually wrote 23 when it opened. HA! (Don't get me wrong--I love Daphne, but she was almost double that).

It looks like they got most of the ages at least a "bit" wrong
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

EW is as prone to falling for (and participating in) hype and celebrity ass-kissing as any other entertainment news source. Their tidbit on Veronica Mars was fluffy enough- I don't think they mentioned the show's abysmal ratings at all.

Then again, Veronica Mars is really good...

Where in the script is it even implied that these people would be too old for these rolls? Exactly how old are the roles supposed to by, anyway. And more importantly, who cares?

Thanks SO much for the larger pic! I'm still stunned at the beauty of Adam in this movie!

They made more mistakes than I anticipated for a magazine like this. Hopefully there will be more articles in different magazines that will be more positive about the anticipation of the moive.
I'm not a gay stereotype. I'm a coincidence.

Wax Lion says that the photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly reminds him of being backstage at The Nederlander. Not much room in either place, even for a bitty wax lion like himself.
