I'm all for getting a newcomer and/or bumping up an understudy.
If it doesn't work out, Jenna Leigh Green is my choice- she'll American Idol it up, but she has the high belt.

Why are they casting again, if you don't me asking. What happened?

Lea Michele was cast as Eponine orignally, but she's going to Broadway with Spring Awakening instead.

I saw Melissa recently. She was one of my favorite parts of the show. She would be great if they bumped her up.

Melissa really wasn't all that interesting to me. I must've seen her roughly 20 times in a row but never warmed to her. I didn't dislike her, but there are others I can think of...

I thought Melissa Lyons was perfect. She did a very nice "On My Own" and, without insulting her, it made more sense artistically to not cast an ingenue--I never really bought Marius blowing off all of these really hot Eponines chasing after him.

Don't shoot me...I'd like to see Katharine McPhee, as long as she keeps the laryngitis and bronchitis at home!

Eden Espinosa.

I nominate WesternSky2.

Eden turned down any "Les Mis" offers to do another project. Most people here have already put two and two together and figured out what said project is.
She was being considered for Fantine anyway, not Eponine (they felt she was too old for the latter.)

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

It won't happen but I still would love to see Celia Keenan Bolger kick the sh*t out of the role!

Wait, Eden in Les Mis?
Let's pick some people with at least a few acting chops, please.
What is her other project? Did I miss something?

I could be wrong, but isn't Megan McGinnis in the ensemble? I think she'd make a good Eponine. They should move her up. I loved her in "Little Women." She does brave and tragic quite well. :)

I vote for Celia--it'd be perfect. I didn't even think of it.

Yes, Megan is covering Eponine.

Wow, I didn't know about this. How old is this news? Is this just a silly rumor or has it been confirmed?
Anyway!
I hate y'alls choices for Eponine! lol.
I would go with Eden. I think she'd be spectacular in the role.
