I would love to see Brooke Sunny Moriber as Eponine.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

If they're going for young, there are quite a few girls who graduated from my school recently that could do really well...

I know a few people who are out on tour are flying in for the audition so they are sure to get someone top notch.
Auditions and callbacks are Aug. 17 and 18th so I'm sure we'll know in a couple weeks.

How about already-in-the-cast Haviland Stillwell? Great voice.
And can someone inform me as to what all of you are saying about Eden and some "other project?" I guess I'm out of the loop.

Too bad about Lea, when I saw "Spring Awakening," I thought she had the perfect voice for Eponine. Then again, if I were her, I'd turn down Les Mis in favor of anything too.

Did Lea Michele get fired?

Why wouldn't they just go with the girl who was up against Lea Michele for the role? Or are they now the understudies?

I've got to agree. Melissa Lyons was possibly the most unengaging Eponine I've ever seen. Neither her look, her singing, or her acting were remarkable in any way.
I'm for an unknown in the role. It would be great to see a new fabulous star come out of this production.

CELIA KEENAN-BOLGER !!!!!!!!
I just think she would play such a tragic Eponine. She's so great and she rips your heart out in Spelling Bee.

My vote goes to Juliana Ashley Hansen from the MILLIE tour. And I doubt that Celia would want to do LES MIS, she's so committed to doing new works.....even though she would be a fantastic Eponine.

What's interesting is Juliana was offered Young Cosette many years ago, but had to turn it down.

Sarah E. Litzsinger.
She's been doing Beauty and the Beast long enough. I got emotional seeing her in The Last 5 Years.

"What is Eden's other project?"
I'm guessing Wicked in LA...
Celia would be awesome. But so would Eden. And Megan McGinnes

Who was up against Lea for it in the end? Anyone know?

Someday: someone mentioned that particular actress in a thread last week, though I'm not sure if she was referred to by name.

EponineAmneris, Rona Figueroa, unfortantely is probably considered too old for the role now. I liked her Eponine. Last I heard she was in the Lennon musical, but that show closed last year(I think).
Melissa Lyons did have her good points, but she is not my favorite Eponine. Overall, I didn't think she was quite as good an actress/singer as the other two actresses I have seen in the role, Rona Figueroa or Ma-Anne Dionisio.
It will be interesting to see if they promote one of the understudies or go with someone else. I wonder if they have asked the understudies to audition again.

I would love to see Megan in the role! Maybe she'll be on when I see it.

<----------------- Ahem.
I would also love to see Celia do it. Also I would love to see Allison Fischer (of Lestat) try the role at some point.
