Hi all,
I am a huge fan, as most of you are, of Forbidden Broadway, but are you ever slightly disappointed when they do not spoof a show you wanted or though would be ripe for the spoofing. Such as, Dance of the Vampires you though would have been a shoe in for a spoof. (total eclipse). Also, this past year a great montage of Tarzan songs would have been great too or a spoof of "Omigod you guys" from Legally Blonde.
Also, does anyone ever think of funny lines or ideas for Forbidden Broadway. I came up with this one...
to the tune of Under da Sea from The Little Mermaid.....could be changed to ..... Under Stud ies .....and of course humorous lyrics bashing understudies ensues...
LOL..Thats my thought for tonight..Any ideas??

I was quite surprised they never did a song from Drowsy
they also never spoofed spelling bee?
probably because drowsy and spelling bee were SOOOO good!
and I agree, should have spoofed more Legally Blonde, Xanadu, and Tarzan
When Lestat was still running, they had "Barfee" spell "flop" and he wrote "Lestat" on the floor with his foot.
but no song
which is what i was geting to
so many witty lyrics they could have used...
When I saw SVU last year they did the same thing Lizzie just said with Barfee, but it was High Fidelity
I'm tired of their garbage "spoofs." They no longer jokingly tease the shows, but instead personally attack the careers of Broadway's hardest working performers.
I would disagree
it is allin good fun, I have heard countless stories about composers and stars going to see the show, and then being asked to be writen in...I think it is all in good fun!

i agree. they made fun of LOVEMUSIK and no one REALLY thinks Donna Murphy sounded like that. it's all exageration and hilarity.
no one's arguing Raul Esparza's acting. i'm sure he laughs at the intensity too.

Oh Foster, lighten up. They all go and they all laugh.
I was not all that pleased with the new CD. I thought some of the skits were repetative and sort of "been there, done that." Grey Gardens could have been A LOT funnier. I did think the Company and Spring Awakening spoofs were up to Gerard's usual standard though. The bonus stuff left over from SVU were priceless though.
Could there be issues with getting rights to songs from certain shows?

Waaa waa waaa what's the matter "Wanna Be A Nnoying"? Did they dare mock Broadways most overrated brother sister acting duo?
