The only upcoming Elphaba comfirmed is Dee Roscioli to replace Kristy Cates in the Chicago Production of WICKED in 12th December 2006. The latest new Glinda in Chicago is Erin Mackey.
Also the other upcoming Elphaba confirmed is Kerry Ellis to replace Idina Menzel in the London Production of WICKED in January 1st 2007.
Elphabas/Glindas are still yet to be confirmed for Broadway & The National Tour. Possibly, names will be known in December.
For the LA Production, Eden Espinosa & Megan Hilty are leading the cast as Elphaba and Glinda

Excuse me, kasim? I was born here in the USA. Of course I speak English- very well. It is my native language. I also speak fluent French and some Italian.
I visit this board everyday.

Posted: 11/27/06 at 4:33pmIn an interview, someone slipped that Julia will be in NY and will replace Ana. So, we have an Elphie, as for a Glinda? I'm uncertain, I hope for some new blood! But if we get an old Glinda, I'm ecstatic as the same! I see it Marh 4th!

I've been hearing some rumors that Cheno might do nine performances in the LA production as Glinda in September of 07.
But that may be premature.

Posted: 11/27/06 at 5:44pmCheno doing 9 shows?? I have some serious doubts about that, although, I'll admit, I would be the first in line for tickets. But now I am leaving this thread because I can sense that it is going to hell in handbasket and going quickly, too.

bobz, maybe, just maybe, you could have asked your question on one of these fine threads?

ehh...i'm here, might as well ask it:
if you're sitting in the Orchestra section at WICKED, but towards the back, past where the Balcony overhangs, do you miss anything? (Defying Gravity, mainly)?
re: New Glinda & Elphaba#20
Posted: 11/27/06 at 6:24pmTWSFan, I had seats almost under the balcony, and I could see everything just fine. They may have even been under the balcony. I can't exactly remember, but I think you'll be alright if you're thinking of getting tickets there.

re: New Glinda & Elphaba#21
Posted: 11/27/06 at 7:05pmI have only seen the show once and didn't sit under there, but I can't imagine they would raise Elphaba so high that 1/3 of the audience would miss the most known point in the show. That would probably cause some uproar.

I sat in Row U, I think it was 4 from the back, and all the way from the left.
The show looks less that spectacular from back there, but I liked it better than Row D.
Nothing is missed though.
