I read it in an interview here on this site...
I need to think of which actor it was that spilt the beans...
I'll go a search for it!
I'll either edit or re-post!

Reported from a BWW article as well as to me from Julie Reiber herself (I run her fansite):
Julie Reiber (All Shook Up, BKLYN, BKLYN tour) will be the LA Elphaba standby.

Posted: 11/28/06 at 9:49amI'm going to peer pressure Idina Menzel to play Elphaba on the Broad Way and if she doesn't I won't send any racist threats like that one time someone did that (Hunter Foster) but I will make her wish she never messed with me.

Posted: 11/28/06 at 10:53amI heard a rumor through my friend that used to work at Walnut street theatre that Christina Decicco who played Belle at Walnut is taking over for Glinda on the tour. He said she was posting it on all of her friends myspace pages. Don't know if it's true or not but could see her in the role!

That's who said it, Norm Lewis.
I wouldn't mind seeing her again as Elphie though... Julia has a wonderful vibratto and her acting is amazing!
And I really wanna see Kendra as Glinda again - that would be awesome!

The rumor mill says that Kendra and Julia will take over on Broadway, but who really knows until they announce it officially. The new Glinda US will be Lindsay Northen and the new Elphaba US will be Caissie Levy
The new Glinda on tour will be Christina Decicco. The new Elphaba will probably be Victoria Matlock. Marcie Dodd will replace Maria Eberline as Elphaba US.
Chicago...Kate Fahrner is going into Erin Mackey's old track...which was supposed to be occupied by Christina Decicco, but she obviously got bumped up.
In LA, Emily Rozek will standby for Glinda while Julie Reiber will standby for Elphaba. Amanda Flynn will be a Glinda US. I dont know about the Elphaba US.
That should answer any questions :)

Julia and Kendra....oh no, my bank balance is NOT going to like a trip from the UK to NY. It already doens't like my trips to London.
Oh well...you only live once.

And Emily Rozek and Julie Rieber have already been performing during some of the PR things in LA

Posted: 12/8/06 at 10:40pmCassie did not blow her voice out, buth rather Degarmo returned to the role.

No Kicks, PJ (who works at the Neil Simon) is correct: Caissie did indeed blow her voice out at one time and was out off and on for several weeks. It isn't why she left because, as you said, Degarmo returned, but she did indeed have some vocal problems.I think it was just a bad stroke of luck (I saw her as an u/s on tour and found her spectacular, every bit as good as Kerry Butler.)
Although she may not be able to sustain Elphaba full time, let's remember she is only an u/s, and will maybe go on once if she is with the show for over a year (and that's being generous.)
She is most likely staying for a limited time anyway, since the girl she is replacing (Brandi Chavonne Massey) is supposedly planning on coming back in a few months.
