Anyone know when it is headed out? I assume it is the same physical Paper Mill tour that has been going around for years with Patrick Cassidy and Deborah Gibson / Amy Adams.

The production that played Papermill was Troika's version, which had been out previously with a Non-Equity cast. Since Papermill, it has had both Equity and Non-Eq incarnations. Troika again has JOSEPH on their main page under "current and upcoming."

If this is true, I hope and pray it comes somewhere close to me. I will see him as many times as possible. That man has an amazing voice. He was great in Brel and The Wedding Singer. There aren't many performers out there who have his ability to own a stage. If you are judging without seeing or hearing him, try it, you may be surprised. I really, really hope this is not just a rumor.

Perhaps this is what he and Deborah Gibson were discussing back when they were reported being seen together. I will have to side with Veronica Lake here, he has wonderful stage presence and a terrific voice, which he knows how to use so well.
I will definitely go see this show if he's in it and it comes my way.

There have been no casting calls either public (posted on the equity site) or private (agent sunmissions). This seems to be either completely brand new info (improbable) or just wishful thinking.

I like Constantine's voice a lot. Saw him in Superstar years ago, and he was fantastic.

Well since he has his equity card(I'm assuming he got it with The Wedding Singer) wouldn't the tour probably be equity? That'd be a nice change since it seems every single tour nowadays is non-equity.

Great weekend in San Fran!! Thanks to the NFL for their hospitality, let's do it again sometime.

ok...

YES I was offered the title role of "Joseph" in "Joseph and the Amazing...." with Troika. A National Broadway Touring Company. Back at the "Grease" opening, I met the Troika people and they tossed the idea at me. Dave Clemmons was set to cast. We worked out a very lucrative deal and I signed a letter of intent with them back in October to commit to the tour for '08.

They have had amazing feedback with the buyers/theatres BUT we are finding that some markets that the tour has visited as recently as '06, are reluctant to bring it back so soon. Even with Zach Efron in the role! Zaquisha!!!!! Hahaha...Thus we are finding holes in the routing. A common obstacle. I myself knew the last tour well and when first approached about it feared that it was "played-out" but when they wanted it to happen, I was game. As we have discussed before, it is a terrible touring climate out there right now and this comes as no big surprise. Sorry

SO...for now the Tour is not a GO, GO, GO GO JOE-... Uhhh...get it??

We will see what happens. As you can imagine this is disappointing news all around.

I am still planning on doin' dates in early '08. Jim is trying to finish his album and we are trying to work it all out. May see some new faces on stage with me. Which is cool...trust.

So hang in there and we will keep you posted as things develop.

He did not tour Joseph. Patrick Cassidy and Amy Adams did.

I think he meant that some markets were not interested in having Joseph back soo soon even if Troika was able to get Zach to play Joseph. There was nothing in that about Zach having been in the show before.
