New NBC Broadway Special - 6/9 7:00 PM

Just saw a commercial on NBC for a new broadway special Saturday night at 7:00pm. Seems like the same style as the fall and spring previews they do. The commercial said they are going to take a look at putting on a broadway show, which I think will be Avenue Q because they had clips of it. That and looking at the Tony nominated shows.

I went on NBC.com but couldn't find anything to link to. I'm sure they will send a press release out soon if they haven't already.

I didn't see any other threads on this.

Unfortunately, if it's Saturday at 7:00, it sounds like this may be local programming so it wouldn't be on the national nbc.com. That's a shame -- sounds good!

I checked the main NBC NY station website and they have it listed on the schedule. The regular NBC website doesn't list a schedule before 8:00pm.

Would it be Avenue Q or Wicked (which their parent company Universal owns)?

For those in Southern New England - WJAR (Providence's NBC affiliate) airs the show at 3am on Sunday. My DVR is set!

God, this is worse than watching OnStage....and they actually know what they're talking about on OnStage.

Nothing made me laugh harder than seeing an interview with Mike Riedel that proclaimed him "Broadway producer."

Any YankeeFan, I nearly died when I saw that "producer" credit come up! yeah, he produces rumors and bull**** daily, but that's about it!

right? I love when they mentioned the Tony and she was like "go Spring Awakening" and he was like "we'll see..."

So you're disagreeing with basically every major pundit? (Don't know if that's the right word) And even if SA doesn't win, Grey Gardens is the likely next choice, not Curtains as he'd prefer
